Welcome to Ermine Street Church Academy

It is my pleasure to welcome you to our school community. At Ermine Street Church Academy, we believe passionately that every child can achieve great things, regardless of their background. We care deeply about our children, families and the community we serve. Our children and families are united by the highest expectations of what every child can achieve, and by the commitment to help our young people to excel.

We believe that all children are amazing. We want our children to live a life of choice and opportunity so that they can flourish in their communities and the wider world. Our school is built on strong values that promote academic excellence, kindness and belonging.

At Ermine Street, we are guided by Christian principles that help us to focus on our core vision and values, created in partnership with our children, families and community.

Our dedicated team of teachers and staff work tirelessly to ensure that each child is not only challenged to achieve their best but also supported in their individual journey. Your child’s journey with us will see their uniqueness and interests valued and stimulated through the lens of a knowledge-rich curriculum, delivered by educators using research informed practice.

If you are thinking about joining us, we would be delighted to welcome you to Ermine Street Church Academy, where we believe that every child can thrive with the right support, determination, and mindset.

Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to supporting you in your educational journey.

Ermine Street Church Academy is sponsored by Grace Schools but this is in partnership with the Methodist Family of Schools.

In the Methodist Family of Schools there are 81 schools. 65 are maintained primary schools, 26 of which are ‘Methodist only’ schools, the others are partnership schools with the Church of England.

Methodist Schools are inclusive and unpretentious communities where individuals are valued, good order is respected, relationships cherished, and where excellence in its widest sense (academic, extra-curricular, lifestyle) is pursued for children of all faiths and none.

Methodist Schools encourage a sense of belonging, seek to improve lives and boldly expect the impossible.  In Methodist Schools, educational experiences and activities bring mind and heart, intellect and passion together.  Methodist Schools work in mutually beneficial partnerships with each other and the wider Methodist Church.

The Methodist Church is represented on our Local Governing Body and members of the local congregation regularly contribute to many aspects of school life, including Collective Worship.
